André Jeunet and Pierre Bourgeois, Paris, 1917 Public Deposited

André Jeunet stands with his cousin, Pierre Bourgeois, on a balcony overlooking Rue du Fer à Moulin in Paris in June, 1917. Photograph is mounted on a gray board. Handwritten on verso of mount: "Juin 1917. Paris. Balcon du 5p(?) rue du Fer à Moulin. André -- fantassin [infantryman, foot soldier]. Pierre -- aviateur [airman]." Pierre Bougeois, a French aviator in World War I, was a resistance fighter in World War II. He was captured by the Gestapo during the Nazis' occupation of France and died at their hands.
